Introduction
Hole bridging is a technique to make a hole between two or more selected poygons of a mesh, with the advantage to keep a closed meshsurface. For this, CINEMA 4D connects the the opposing points with a polygon face.
How to bridge a hole
To hole-punch a mesh, you have to go to polygon mode and select the polygonfaces your hole should be punched through. Remember that Cinema is not cornering between the selected Polygons, but connecting the points straightly. So you should not bridge between acute-angled faces. To complete the bridging, turn on "X-Ray" for your mesh, select the Bridge tool from the menu "Structure->Bridge" (Shortcut "M~B","b") and drag a line from one egde of you selected faces to the opposite edge of selected faces.
